Ramu Thiagarajan is executive vice president and head of Thought Leadership at State Street. Ramu is responsible for leading and executing a cohesive and relevant agenda that optimizes the latest thinking on industry trends, topics, and insights that are most meaningful to our clients, in partnership with leaders across State Street Global Advisors, State Street Associates, and Corporate. In this capacity, Ramu also supports executive leadership platforms to capitalize on the power of a One State Street voice and deliver market differentiating messages and content to drive client loyalty and deliver commercial impact.

Ramu joined State Street Global Advisors in 2017 as global head of Fixed Income, Cash, and Currency Research. In 2021, Ramu transitioned to State Street as senior investment advisor, serving as a senior thought leader for strategic global macro topics including inflation, generative artificial intelligence, transition finance, commodity, climate risk, globalization, supply chain, geo-fragmentation and fiscal policy issues. Throughout his tenure, Ramu has published several impactful research publications and regularly represents State Street on global macro research, trends and issues to our clients and industry stakeholders.

Ramu holds a Doctorate in accounting and finance and has been a leader in global financial services for nearly three decades with research and portfolio management expertise in equities, fixed income and macro strategies.
