Michael Eldridge
Executive Vice President, Country Head, UK and Head of Global Markets, UK

Michael Eldridge is executive vice president and country head for State Street in the United Kingdom. In addition, Michael is head of State Street Global Markets for the UK.

As country head for the UK, he aligns local client segment, business unit and client service teams, and leads the design and execution of an enterprise-wide country revenue growth strategy for the firm.

In his State Street Global Markets role, he oversees aspects of trading, product and operations platform, helping to drive successful client solutions in the UK.

Michael has 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, holding a number of senior roles at multinational corporations. He is an experienced senior leader in Global Markets/Investment Banking and Custody Operations, with specific focus on front-office trading and back-office operations, operational risk management, governance, regulatory engagement, balance sheet review/growth wind-down programs, establishment of new operating teams in alternative locations and large-scale strategic change management projects.

Prior to joining us, Michael worked at Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Westdeutsche Landesbank.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in cross-cultural communications and a Master of Arts degree in organizational management from Trevecca Nazarene University. He is also a certified business coach from the Meyler Campbell Mastered program. He is a board member of the Association for Financial Markets in Europe (AFME).
