Brian Franz is executive vice president, global chief information officer (CIO) and head of enterprise resiliency for State Street. In this role, he is responsible for our information technology and enterprise data activities as well as corporate resiliency across our global footprint. He also serves on the Executive Committee, the company’s most senior strategy and policy-making team.

Brian, a dual United Kingdom/United States national, previously worked at Diageo PLC, a multinational publicly traded company where he held executive roles that spanned chief productivity officer and CIO with responsibility for enterprise operations, technology and business service functions. Prior to joining Diageo in 2008, he was CIO at PepsiCo International, and before that in leadership roles at GE, including GE Capital and AT&T. He has deep technology, operations and business experience, and embraces a digital-first mindset, with client and employee experience squarely at the center.

Brian earned a master’s degree from New York University and his undergraduate degree from Iona College.
