Cuan Coulter is executive vice president and global head of our Asset Manager client segment, and country head of State Street in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

In his Asset Manager role, Cuan is responsible for the creation and execution of State Street’s engagement strategy for the Asset Manager segment globally. Working collaboratively with global client management, business lines and product organizations, Cuan ensures our product and service models are constructed to exceed client expectations.

In his oversight role for the UK and Ireland, Cuan works with the respective country heads to support their governance and oversight responsibilities. In addition, Cuan works with each country head to help enable the achievement of client-related objectives, particularly with respect to the Asset Manager segment, given the number of important asset management clients based in the UK and Ireland.

Prior to this, he was the head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at State Street’s asset management business, State Street Global Advisors. In this role, he was responsible for leading business throughout the region and was the senior-most representative of the firm with external stakeholders such as clients, regulators and fund boards.

Before joining us in July 2008, Cuan was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in their investment management industry group.

Cuan is a member of the City UK Leadership Council and executive sponsor of State Street's PRIDE network in the UK. He strongly believes that inclusive workplaces lead to more engaged employees and better outcomes for clients.

Cuan studied commerce and accounting at the University of the Witwatersrand.
