Paolo Sismondi joined State Street on 1 August 2009 as head of Risk and Compliance of State Street Bank International GmbH, Munich, Zurich Branch.

On 1 September 2014 he assumed the role of Head Depositary Bank for the Swiss Branch and became a member of the Swiss Management Committee. In this capacity, he is responsible for the safekeeping of the fund’s assets in custody, the issue and redemption of units, the payments and income distributions on behalf of the funds, the verification of the net asset value and for the compliance with the Investment Collective Schemes Act (CISA) as well as with the fund regulations.

Prior to joining State Street, he worked at Swiss Re Asset Management for 13 years in various roles such as risk, compliance, regulatory and head CIO office.

Paolo holds a master’s degree in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan. He holds an “Investment Management” certificate from the FSA (UK) and a “NDK Compliance Management” certificate from the HSW Lucerne.
